Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join the pack?

Sign up here! Let us know what kind of care you are looking for and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

What if I’m not home during the day and I haven’t trained my dog to answer the door?

Don’t worry! You can provide access instructions via your TimeToPet account. Feel free to give us a spare key, door code, alarm code etc.. We will always keep your personal information confidential (only our administrator and your primary walker will have access to this information).

What if my dog needs medical attention while I am away?

You will be the first to know and we will make a plan together depending on the severity of the issue. If we cannot reach you, we will make an appointment with the preferred veterinarian listed on your TimeToPet profile. If it is an emergency, we refer to this website and visit the nearest emergency clinic with the shortest wait time.

What extra fees may apply with dog sitting?

All walks and park outings are subject to a $5 fee on Saturdays and Sundays.

Boarding is subject to a $10 fee on Saturdays and Sundays.

All services are subject to a $10 fee on holidays.

What kinds of payments do you accept?

Credit/Debit, ACH, Cash/Check or Venmo. We do not accept Zelle or Cash App.

Is Lewis single?

Lewis only has eyes for his boss/best friend, Max.

How will you communicate with me?

Communication with your service provider is available through the TimeToPet App and online portal. You will also have your service provider’s cell phone number if you prefer to communicate via text. We may not see your message if we are out with the pack – if you need to speak to us urgently, send a text message to request a call back.

How can I book a boarding session?

All services can be booked via your TimeToPet account. Don't have an account? Sign up here.

What are your covid precautions?

–We take Covid-19 seriously and abide by state and city regulations. We currently do not require our staff to wear masks. If you would prefer your walker wears a mask when entering your home, please let us know and we are happy to accommodate.

What are your service areas?

For our weekly services including pick up and drop off, we cover the majority of North Seattle. Zip codes: 98103, 98115, 98105, 98107, 98117, 98125.

For in-home sitting all over Seattle, with a preference for neighborhoods north of Lake Union.

What kind of notice should I give before scheduling?

We kindly request at least 24 hours notice to accommodate your scheduling requests. This being said, we will accommodate last minute requests to the best of our ability.

What kind of notice should I give if I need to cancel?

For walks and outings, cancellations within six hours are subject to a 70% fee of the total service cost.

For boarding and in-home sitting, we trust our clients to provide as much notice as possible. As a general rule of thumb, we strongly prefer notice of cancellation within the amount of days you have scheduled on our calendar (eg. 2 weeks notice for 2 weeks of dog sitting). We reserve the right to refuse service to clients who repeatedly cancel without proper notice.

I’m nervous about you having my home address and access information. What do you do with that information?

This information is only available to our administrator and your primary service provider. Otherwise, it is secure and confidential.

I’m interested in joining, but wanna book something right now. Can I book ahead of our meet & greet?

We can make tentative plans, but we cannot confirm anything on our calendar without a meet & greet.

My dog is a terror. Please take her?

Do you take dogs who aren’t neutered/spayed?

We accept unneutered/unspayed puppies until the onset of puberty, roughly 6-9 months, depending on the development of the dog in question. When puppies begin to exhibit pubescent behavior or receive disruptive and unwanted attention from other dogs, it’s time to take a break from group outings until surgery. If your dog is intact and no longer a puppy, you can still book in-home sitting, leashed walks and drop ins.

Why do you require a Meet & Greet?

There is no one-size-fits-all method of dog care, so the meet & greet is a great chance for you to see if our style suits you and your dog’s particular needs. We will ask you some questions to guide the conversation and determine whether it’s a good match. We prefer to conduct meet & greets on your dog’s turf, to familiarize them with a new face entering their home and prepare them for their first adventure with us!
